Friday Sketches

Finally some more recent drawing. The first was done last Friday and River Park. The other done the Friday before that at the same place.

These first two pages are from Sheldons, just showing a few pages in progress.

This drawing was done at riverpark, of a couple waiting to see a movie.

This drawing was done while I was trying to win tickets to a country concert. This is a roughed out tree for my painting that I'm working on. Marker and then some photoshop to finish.

This was a watercolor I did for my final that I never posted.

Sheldon's Art Academy part II

This is the second half of the drawings I did while at Sheldon's Art Academy.
Just two gesture drawing that I did on my last day there.
Also on my last day, I really think the structure I learned shows through on this one.
So she has a big nose, I still like the drawing.
This drawing has lots of problems but I still really like it.

The next 3 drawing are all of the same live model, done towards the end of my two week at Sheldon's. All 20 minutes poses.

Work from Sheldon's Art Academy

Alright so after a month, I finally have some new drawings to post. These are all from the two weeks I spent at Sheldon's Art Academy down in Oak Park, CA.

This was my first drawing of the two weeks. Yes they are rocks, as Sheldon says: "It's flexible performance capability." Basically if you can draw and shade rocks you can do it on anything.

One of my jesture drawing from later in the week. The first model of the week was a costume model I had two drawings that I liked. They have their problems but it was good practice plus I worked on drapery which I haven't done much of.

And the second one I liked which was a twenty minute drawing.

This is of a security guard and Universal City Walk, he looked really bored.
